Mt Rainier Scenic Railroad arriving at the Museum (Drone)

Hammond Lumber Co #17 brings up a 4-car excursion train into the logging museum at the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad. It was quite windy (15-20mph winds) and the hex and gimbal were having issues with it. Syncing the audio with GoPro Studio was a royal pain and will be looking at some alternatives to the software. Polson Logging Co #70 working up Mineral Hill
Hello Brian. -The Future
What were the engine numbers
Shes just not sitting around playing on her phone😊
This might have been 80 MPH, because 844 did 80 MPH on a run without a diesel, and since she doesn’t have a diesel behind her in this video, perhaps this was from that run.
what stat is this in and or rail road
I can't believe I looked this up for nostalgia😂 Hey, look- Mountain's out! 🏔️🏔️🏔️
The funny thing is that if you play it at twice the speed, not only is it insanely fast, but each time a wheel set goes over the joint, it sounds like a gunshot. Just something I thought I’d point out
TRULY I TRULY REALLY TRULY LOVE SEEING A SOFT SEXY WOMAN STEAM LOCOMOTIVE ENGINEER .
Who says a female can’t drive a train?
This man has more balls than block of coal in 844's tender
I'm no train expert, but I've seen the other gentleman setting where she is in another video running a leaver Is that an extra break or what?
Meanwhile the Fireman…🥵😰
Beauty 😍
So cool a yuong lady 😀
Ass
😉👍
And now you are serving whiskey behind #70
😱😱😱
With people in the background laughing and bantering, it did not distract her the least bit. She is a true engineer
She is brave smart and 😎 cool
Nice video. I just found out about this locomotive from watching a movie that starred in "Born to Be Wild". Is it still an operation in 2023.
Yes, it is still operational.
Was this the locomotive used in "Born to be Wild"?
Sp 4449 going to columbia river gorge via deschutes river cayon
good catches and video Of SP& 700 holiday express and good clips inside the train too
No idea what she was doing but looked totally in control LOL . . .
I Would Like Her Autograph!
She Is Awesome! She Knows Everything! Makes It Look Easy! She Is So Serious! Always Be Blessed! MoPac Jack Kirkwood, Missouri 🚂
A couple of questions for Rikki. Traditionaly an engineer had to be fireman for several years before they could qualify and a engineer. Did you have to do this? How long did you fire locomotives before becomming an engineer? How long have a been doing this?
If anyone thinks her job is easy, think again! A steam locomotive engineer has to have complete knowledge of their locomotive. There is a myrid of valves, controls, and levers. The engineer has to know what each and every one what does and what they are for. Plus they have be able to make emergency repairs on the road far away from the shops and repair facilities. The engineer has to be a real "gear head" to run one othe these huge, complex machines. Finally, also have to be able "read" their smoke, "read" their steam.
Gut !
Dang the engines gave like a missle sound 😂
Amazing but too short of a 14L. I like when the hoggers blast LONG AND QUILL THAT WHISTLE
Her crew seemed to be preoccupied with things other than their job - what they were supposed to be doing.
Man, I love that sound every time she throws the reverser forward! What was the going to putting on the air, a show for the buffies?
I didn’t realize railfans were so damn thirsty everybody in this comment section is so freaking horny
Where is this
Chehalis and Centralia Railroad in Chehalis, Wa
Good work and looking lovely lady
Well THAT was cool
I certainly Loved this video, of a young girl operating a steam engine , what a trimendous job she is doing & doing it well, her smile says it all - so many thanks to everyone who made this great video 👍👍 ( can I just say to this young girl, keep up the good work).
There's not enough fire in the box,no steam in the cab.or Or around the engine . Blast me if you won't to.ive road and watched several steam engines. And there's so Much steam around the engine. And there no Hissing noise. I think a diesel Engine is the power source.
It’s oil fired. There’s no steam because are there no leaks. There’s no diesel lol.
Diesel? Sure man. There's no steam as all the glands are properly packed and maintained.
@James-kd7dc I seriously doubt that you can Completely seal steam or You would won't to . Top head pressure during a cycle is tremendous. Seals packed properly will Still give off steam. Most folks have never seen A steam engine fully stoked. It's an amazing sight and sound.
@James-kd7dc No way even under low Pressure steam will be Allover the pipes and Condensation would be dripping off most any thing That has steam running trew It.i can tell by your comments You want an argument . Iam not in to that.
That is true shaking point is valaebile
Interesting. Man, that "Johnson bar" sure is way back, . . . .
Danger! if it tips over, the boiler explodes.
Great video. After being raised by a Dutch mother that went through WWII and three older sister in America I learned early when a good Women gets a certain look on her face move aside let her do her thing. I don't have any kids but if I had girls and they were like her I would be very proud. They tend to adopt me on and off the job and so do some of the boys. I teach them what I can and keep a eye on them for safety then turn them loose. Anymore they check on me because I'm not able to do it all anymore. I was told to be that way by Dad. He was smart. Mostly the gals check on me I do what they say except if they aren't looking I sneak a steak or a beer with the guys.😁
Where is this train?
She's very good!and pays attention ,nice work!!!
I was worried for Gandy Dancer GoPro there for a moment.
Beautiful and smart!
I love that there’s nothing in the video that stands out as modern, no new cars off to the side, other people holding cell phones, etc. you could’ve done the black and white film edit, said it was shot in 1946 and I would’ve believed you. I love that
